HOWE — Helen Lee Rinkel, 85, of Howe died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Rinkel was a homemaker and a part owner of Greenfield Mills New Rinkel Flour for 65 years. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Angola, was active in church activities, choir, women's ministries, and was a Sunday School teacher. Mrs. Rinkel was born on Oct. 4, 1929, in Belfre, Kansas, to George W. and Edna Lee (Higgins) Stricklin. On Aug. 7, 1949, in Prescott, Kansas, she married Howard G. Rinkel. He preceded her in death on Nov. 21, 2002. Surviving are a daughter, Joyce Rinkel of Howe; three sons and daughters-in-law, Hal and Linda Rinkel of LaPorte, Danny and Marilyn Rinkel of Howe and David and Mary Rinkel of Howe; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Loreta Tiemann of Lincoln, Nebraska. Her parents and a sister, Nita Mae Biery, also preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 3, at 2 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church, 560 W. C.R. 400N, Angola. Pastor J. Arnold Fair will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Orland. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 pm at Faith Baptist Church in Angola. Memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church.
