Mom passed away peacefully on November 29, 2016, at the age of 95. Helen Louise was born on November 22, 1921, to Warren and "Tinie" Brown in Fresno, CA. She was the youngest and last survivor of her sisters, Elizabeth Swenson, and Chrystine McNab. Helen graduated from Clovis High School and attended Fresno State College for two years. She then went to work as a secretary at PG&E, where she met her husband, Earl Clinton Giles. He had just returned from serving with the United States Air Force in World War II. They married within the year on September 8, 1946. They just celebrated their seventieth wedding anniversary. Helen always had a strong faith and belief that she would one day be reunited with her family in heaven. She will be remembered as the sweetest and kindest mother and grandmother. "We love you mom and you will always be in our hearts and minds." Mom was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She leaves behind her husband Earl; her daughter, Susan Ballinger and her husband John; granddaughter, Merry Beth Kamal and her husband Sammy; her great-grandson Rylan; her daughter, Sharon Koehler and her husband Dave; and her two grandsons, Shannon, and Spence and his fiancé Emily. There will be a private family service for Helen later this month.
