Helen J. MileyZANESVILLE: Helen J. Miley, 90 of Zanesville died at 1:19 PM Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the Genesis Healthcare Systems following a brief illness.She was born on October 8, 1924 in Buffalo, OH the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Boczar) Szuber.Helen was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, was employed at Universal Potteries and Continental Can of Cambridge, Ohio, the Toledo State Hospital, Toledo, Ohio, and Essex Wire Zanesville, Ohio. She retired 1989 after 18 years at Newark Air Force Station, Newark, Ohio. She loved gardening, her pet cat "Katie" and especially loved her family. She is survived by her husband, the "Love of Her Life", Harold G. Miley whom she married June 8th, 1946; her children; Kenneth Miley, Indianapolis, Indiana, Marilyn Green Boiling Springs, South Carolina and Karen Miley Columbus Ohio; her grandchildren; Stephen Miley and Tonya Lemons; step grandchildren, Gina Allen, Shannon Garcia; great grandchildren, Brookie and Ben Lemons and Lauren Cummings; step great grandchildren, Eric Lovelace, Brandon Blake, Tyler Blake, Aaron Lee and Alexandria Snyder; great great granddaughter, Laura Cummings; and her beloved nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death in addition to her parents by a sister, Adella Slifko; her brothers, John, Henry, and Stanley Szuber; and a step-grandson Robert Andrews.Friends may call 4 to 7 pm on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 with one hour visitation prior to service at the St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Combs officiating.
