Helen Thomas, born on October 14, 1969, passed away on February 5, 2025 in Durham, North Carolina, United States. She was the beloved daughter of Harold Thomas Sr and Donella Avent. Helen is survived by her four children, Lakeshia Thomas (spouse Kelvin McKinney Sr), Kebreania Bailey (spouse Raymond Bailey), Keyatta Thomas, and Keonte's Thomas.

Helen also leaves behind five cherished grandchildren, Aniyah, Kelvin Jr., & Mariah McKinney. Kailyn Utley and Legen BelAir. She attended South High School and went on to have a successful career at the American Red Cross, where she retired in 2025. Helen was a dedicated volunteer at a women's shelter organization, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

In her free time, Helen enjoyed shopping, engaging in lively conversations, and spending quality time with her family and friends. Her warm smile and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
