HAZEL VIVIAN ANNA SCHWIEGART, 98 FORRESTON - Hazel Vivian Anna Schwiegart, 97, of Forreston, died Monday, October 20, 2014 at Freeport Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Hazel was born on May 21, 1917 in York Township (Carroll County), the daughter of Oliver V. and Anna (Engelkins) Roderick. Hazel married Alonzo Soltow on November 7, 1936. Mr. Soltow died on November 17, 1970. Hazel than married Jacob Schwiegart on June 3, 1974, Mr. Schwiegart died on October 16, 1985. Hazel was a retired worker from Micro Switch. Surviving are three sons, William (Debbie) Soltow of Haldane, Paul (Lorraine) Soltow of Lanark and Kenneth (Donna) Soltow of Polo; daughter, Lois (Russ) Farson of Illinois City. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and her cat, Smokey. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; and one daughter, Dorothy Gilbert. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday October 24, at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home, Forreston. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service at Burke Tubbs, Forreston.
