Harvey Fitzgerald (71) of Chatham, Va lost his long time battle to cancer on 07/21/2020. Harvey was educated in the Pittsylvania County school system where he graduated and later became a owner of his transportation business hauling freight across America. He was loved by many and will definitely be missed. He is survived by his children Legathia Pitt (Frank Pitt) of Baltimore, MD and Ricky Fitzgerald (Veronica Fitzgerald) of Crofton, MD. 5 grandchildren Latoya Fitzgerald, Shunta Fitzgerald, Shamia Evans, Franklin Pitt, and Xavier Pitt. Due to the pandemic and safety concerns a small ceremony will be held for the family Saturday, July 25, 2020 (1:00pm) at Shockoe Baptist Church in Java, Va. The Family will be receiving visitors at the Fitzgerald Cemetery thereafter.
