Harry Shiansky Harry Shiansky, age 80, of Bluffton and formerly of other nearby southern cities and New York City, NY died Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Coastal Carolina Medical Center after a long battle with cancer. Mr. Shiansky was born on July 22, 1935 in New York City, NY, the son of the late Sam Shiansky and Sylvia Rosenthal Shiansky. While living in New York, Harry owned a modeling agency and as a professional photographer, traveled all over the world until his retirement. While working as a photographer, he subsequently worked as a New York City police officer where he also retired after many years of dedicated service. While living in Bluffton he was active with the Sun City softball team, was an avid golfer, enjoyed playing pickleball, and was admired for his dancing along with his wife, Nancy. Mr. Shiansky was preceded in death by his wife, Janet. He is survived by his loving wife of 6 years, Nancy Johnson Shiansky; sons, Ira Shiansky (Enid) and Jeffrey Shiansky; daughter, Ilene Shiansky; grandchildren, Aaron, Jacob, and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Aleayh and Aubree; stepdaughter, Rebecca Johnson; stepson, James Johnson (Rae); step-grandchildren, Sarah, Adam, and Ryan; brother-in-law, Larry Roedl (Sue) of Florida; and beloved dog, Buttons. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 2, 2016 at The Church of the Cross, 110 Calhoun Street, Bluffton, SC 29910 to be followed by a luncheon.
