Harry Ardizzone84, of Indianapolis, passed away on February 18, 2017. He was born on December 28, 1932 in Indianapolis, IN to Frank and Alma Ardizzone.Harry was a veteran of the United States Navy and proudly served his country in the Korean War aboard the U.S.S Catamount L.S.D. #17. He achieved the rate of Machinist mate 2nd Class and was honorably discharged in 1959 after 4 years active and 4 years inactive duty. He retired from Ardizzone Painting and Ardizzone Enterprises January of 2001 of which he was the founder in 1959.Survivors include his sons, Michael "Mike" S. Ardizzone and Anthony "Tony" R. (Sue) Ardizzone; grandchildren, Michael A. (Amanda), Taylor T. (Fiance, Lauren Heiob), Tony (Emily) and Casey (Poco) Ardizzone; great grandchildren, Ethan and Anthony Ardizzone.He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years Helyn Ardizzone; brother, Marion Ardizzone and sister, Marie Henderson.Harry was an avid classic car enthusiast. He leaves behind his family who loves him very much. Harry will be sadly missed and greatly mourned for all who had the pleasure of knowing him.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, 1605 South State Road 135 and Olive Branch Road.
