Harold was born on March 30,1954 in Chicago, Illinois. He departed this life on April 30,2020 He was fifth of eight children born to Mr.Rufus Smith jr. And Mrs.Rosetta Smith.

In March 1990 he joined in marriage to Esther Ann  East.

He will be greatly missed by family and close friends. His ability to make us laugh and effortless culinary skills.

As a musician he shared his love for music playing the bass guitar which he taught himself while singing his favorite tunes. 

He believed Jehovah to be the supreme one but was not one of Jehovah's witnesses. 

He leaves to cherish his memory devoted wife Esther Ann Smith,  Mother Rosetta Smith, 1 brother Ernie (Chicago),2 sisters Roslyn (Chicago)and Virginia (Dallas). 2 daughters Trumiana and son in law Dion (Dallas) Monae (Reno) 1 son Artice ( Reno). 6 grandchildren Dezmond, Ajiah, Giovante,Grayson, Naliana and Bayleigh. A host of nephews, nieces and friends who loved him dearly. 

Harold was preceded in death by father Rufus Smith jr. , his loving son Vidal Smith , 3 sisters Doris, Geraldine and Connie and 1 brother Bruce.

God saw that you were weary so he did what he knows best.

He came and stood beside you, and whispered, "come and rest".

You bid no one a last farewell not even a goodbye. 

You were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why.
