SPRINGFIELD - Harold Oney passed away September 20, 2016 at Oakwood Village. Harold was born on April 3, 1917 in Clark County, Ohio to O.E. and Maud (Liming) Oney. He graduated from North Lewisburg High School, was a farmer, owner of a service station and a security guard for Pinkerton's Inc. He married Doris Cook on November 17, 1945 after serving in the Army during WWII for 4 ½ years. He is survived by daughters, Cynthia (Robert) Bass of Huber Heights and Marcella Oney of Springfield; grandchildren, Jennifer (Scott) Todd of Kettering and Jason (Kim Rowan) of Pickerington; great-grandchildren, David Todd and Nicole Bass; and other family. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and sister, Hazel Oney on May 26, 2016. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016 from 1 to 2 p.m. at JACKSON LYTLE & LEWIS LIFE CELEBRATION CENTER with the funeral services beginning at 2 p.m. Pastor Kevin Moehn will be officiating. Burial will follow at Terre Haute Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the Mechanicsburg Public Library.
