Harold KennedyHarold Kennedy, 85, of Delphi, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016 in Cumberland Pointe Health Campus of West Lafayette.He was born on February 25, 1931 in Lafayette, IN to Virgil and Bertha Jane (Dyson) Kennedy.On June 16, 1951 he married LuluBelle Ross in Lafayette. She preceded him in death on August 7, 2016. They were married 65 years. During the Korean War, he served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1955. Served in various stateside and overseas assignments. He loved the United States Air Force and his country and considered it an honor to serve his country.Harold worked in the construction trade as a union plumber and pipe fitter for 42 years and worked 10 years as a maintenance technician at the West Lafayette Walmart. He was an avid bird watcher, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. Harold was a life time member of the American Legion Post 492 and the Moose where he served as a trustee. Surviving are his children, Phillip (Sherry) Kennedy, (CMSgt Ret) of Woodbridge, VA, Timothy (Gabrielle) Kennedy (MSgt Ret) of Howard, OH, and Elizabeth Davis (Robert) of Lafayette; 6 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.His wife of 65 years, Lulu Belle; mother Bertha Jane, brother Eugene, sister Betty, a grandson Timothy Patrick and a great granddaughter, Layla Diane preceded him in death.Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a funeral service starting at 1 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Chapel, Lafayette.
