Harold Starks, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, peacefully passed away on January 31, 2025, at the age of 103 in Newark, New Jersey, United States.

Harold was born on February 8, 1921, to Will Author Starks and Ruby Starks. He grew up in Newark and attended NA High School. After graduating, Harold enlisted in the Army and dedicated many years of his life to serving his country. He retired from the Army in 1989, having earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues and superiors.

In 1970, Harold married the love of his life, Havella Starks. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Tonya Starks and Audrey Starks. Harold was a devoted father who always put his family first and ensured that they had everything they needed to succeed in life.

In addition to his children, Harold leaves behind 10 loving grandchildren Ayiesha, Shaniya, Shaquanah, Mumeen, Elijah, Quaderrah, Tattiyana, Nefertiti, Zakiiyah, Tamia. He cherished each and every one of them and took great pride in watching them grow and achieve their goals.

Harold will always be remembered for his unwavering love and commitment to his family, his dedication to his country, and his incredible work ethic. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
