Harold Frank "Snake" BurtonServices for Harold Frank Burton will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 2, 2017, in the chapel of John Kramer & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Grady Snider officiating. Interment will follow in Alexandria Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until time of service on Thursday, March 2, 2017, in the Kramer Chapel. Harold Frank Burton, 86, of Alexandria, died peacefully at home on February 26, 2017. Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Faye Ann Burton of Salina, Kansas; and seven siblings: Bill, Dean, Rachel, Ann, Betty, Jeanette, and Shirley. Harold was born on March 27, 1930, in Enterprise, Kansas. Harold was a retired master sergeant who loved his 24 years in the military. He proudly served his country in the
Korean Conflict and the
Vietnam War. For his efforts, he was awarded: Korean Service Medal, Army of Occupation Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Vietnamese Campaign Medal, National Defense Medal, Air Force Expeditionary Medal, and Master Missle Bridge. Those left to cherish his memory include, his wife of 61 years, Julie Joyce Chenevert Burton; son, Robert Burton, of Lumberton, Texas; daughter, Tina Pullen and husband, Lee, of Alexandria; three grandchildren, Jessica Bynog and husband, Josh, Nikki Burton, and Julie Burton; along with two great-grandchildren, Caid and Jillian Bynog.
