Hank Simpson, 85, of Oxford, ME, passed away on October 14, 2023 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 10, 1938, in Cold Spring, NY, Hank was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Hank dedicated his career to his passion for being a business owner. He owned and operated a butcher shop in Peekskill, New York, and Simpson Egg Farms in Winthrop, Maine, where he worked tirelessly to provide high-quality eggs to the community and New England. In addition, Hank owned and operated two successful night clubs in southern Florida and was involved in the aviation industry, owning and operating Practical Parts, a jet plane replacement parts business in Florida and North Carolina.
Outside of work, Hank enjoyed spending time in nature. He had a deep love for hunting and fishing, which brought him great joy throughout his life. During his time in Maine he was a member of the Augusta Country Club where he won many tournaments. He continued his love of golf after he moved to Florida. He loved spending time with family and took great joy in being around his grandchildren.
Hank had a larger than life personality filled with charm, charisma and the most infectious laugh. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, determination, dedication, and love for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and resilience.
Hank is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Williams-Simpson of Oxford, ME, and his children Nancy McKenney, Cathy (Wayne) Piper, Nina (Edward) Keer, Frank Simpson, Cheryl (Donald) LaPorte, and Dottie Perry. He will also be deeply missed by his grandchildren Timothy Piper, Angela Seavey, Tara McGrath, Amanda LaPorte, Jason LaPorte, Lily Sniffen, Sydney Perry, and Cole Perry. Hank was also blessed with two great-granddaughters, Kaya Loveland and Stella McGrath. He also leaves behind his special twin nephews Thomas and James Simpson.
He was preceded in death by his son Michael Simpson and his granddaughter Katie Piper.
The family would like to thank Androscoggin Healthcare + Hospice and special thanks to his granddaughter Sydney Perry for her special and loving care of her grandfather at this difficult time.

A private memorial service will be held for family and close friends to honor Hank's life and celebrate the memories they shared together. May his soul rest in peace.
