Gumaro was born on February 17, 1927 in San Nicolas, Santiago Papasquiaro, Durango. He moved to the United States in the early 1950's. He began working at Georgia Pacific from which he retired after many years. Gumaro was a hard-working, loving, honorable, principled and dignified man. As the patriarch, his family though large in size, never lacked anything. His pride lied in the roots he planted for his family. He enjoyed telling tales about his youth. He always captivated the attention of his grandchildren with stories about his parents and his adventures rounding up horses in Mexico; a true caballero and vaquero. He treasured music as it was the thread which intertwined the chords of his heart with the rich memories of his family. He is preceded in death by his father, Jose Diaz Valenzuela, mother, Ma. Del Refugio Campos de Diaz, wife, Dolores Sepulveda Diaz, and six brothers. He is survived by his Children: Norma Yolanda, Hugo, Leticia, Lourdes, Gumaro, Jose, Gustavo, Dora Alicia, and Angelica, his sister, Imelda Diaz de Saucedo, and twenty-eight grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. www.cvobituaries.com
