SORENSON, Grace Grace Sorenson passed away in her sleep in her own home on June 14, 2017 at the age of 98 years. Grace was born on August 22, 1918 in St. Simeon, Quebec, the tenth of fourteen children of Pierre Cavanagh and Therese Bourdages. She was baptized Marie Graziella Cavanagh, but always preferred to be called Grace. While working in Montreal, she met Oscar Sorenson and they married in 1948. They farmed for many years in the Great Bend District east of Delburne, Alberta. Upon retirement they moved to Calgary. Grace was predeceased by her husband Oscar in 1996. She is survived by one brother Eugene Cavanagh of Toronto, one sister Yvonne Boudreau of Montreal as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER'S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen's Park Cemetery) on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery.
