Gloria Ann Gonyer MannGloria Ann Gonyer Mann, 75, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2015 at her home in Parma, Idaho after a valiantly fought battle with breast cancer. She was the oldest of two children born on October 13, 1940 to Leo and Helen (Rehorst) Gonyer. She graduated from Nyssa High School in 1958 and from Oregon State University with a degree in Business Education. She later received her Master's Degree from Brigham Young University. Gloria married Kent Mann in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in 1964 and had been married for 51 years. Together they raised five children: Melanie (Chris) Farnsworth, Lauralyn (Marc) Salinas, David (Meggin) Mann, Darin (Ali) Mann and Michelle (Josh) Walker.Gloria had a lifelong love for education. Whether it was teaching in school, piano lessons in her home, early morning seminary or wonderful gospel lessons on Sunday, she was passionate about sharing her knowledge with others. Gloria was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed many callings in the Primary, Young Women and Relief Society and touched the lives of several along the way. She also loved her time spent working in the Boise Idaho LDS Temple.Gloria loved to travel with her family and has wonderful memories of many beaches and warm sunshine. Her and dad's favorite was taking their children and 23 grandchildren to McCall each year for family reunions.Gloria is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren and her sister Marilyn Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents; her father and mother-in-law, Charles and Mary Mann. The family would like to thank the Staff at MSTI and Dr. Norm Zuckerman for their many years of love and care. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 29 at the Parma LDS Church building, 307 E. Andrews in Parma. A viewing will be held at the church Wednesday, October 28 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again at the church, Thursday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
