Gloria L. Bowmaster, 64, of Pleasant St., Corry, Pa., died on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital, Erie, Pa. She was born on November 30, 1952, in Corry, a daughter of Santina Genco of Jamestown, N.Y. and the late Donald Nelson. Gloria was raised and educated in Corry; throughout her childhood she lived with her aunt and uncle, Les and Agnes Upperman and their family. As a young woman, her main priority was raising and caring for her family; she had also worked for many years at Foamex, Inc. Gloria was a member of the Corry VFW Post #264 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling to Virginia to visit with her family. In addition to her father, Gloria was preceded in death by her sister, Donna Stoltz; and stepsister Cindy Davis. In addition to her mother, Gloria is survived by her husband, Ralph M. "Mike" Bowmaster, who she married on May 29, 2004, in Corry, Pa.; a son, Thomas Nelson and his companion Jennifer Miles of Corry, Pa.; two stepdaughters, Stefanie Phelps and her husband Brent of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Chrystal George of Paducah, Ky.; and a stepson John Michael Bowmaster and his wife Tarra of Gum Springs, Va. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Benjamin Phelps, Nate Bowmaster and Grady Bowmaster; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call at Bracken Funeral Home, Inc., 315 N. Center St., Corry, Pa., on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service there at 12 noon. Pastor Les Utegg will officiate. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Pa.
