It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gloria Moreland, born on December 13th, 1950 in Paw Paw, West Virginia. She passed away on January 28th, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of questionable fashion choices and a love for gossiping.

Gloria was the daughter of Chauncey and Ila Whitacre, who surely raised her to be the life of every party and the center of attention. She is survived by her three children, Stephanie, Roger Jr. (with spouse Leslie), and Robert (with spouse Tabitha). We can only hope that they inherited her impeccable taste in home decor and affinity for reality television.

After studying at Paw Paw High School, Gloria graduated in 1968 with a degree in making sure everyone knew her business. She will fondly be remembered for her love of bingo nights, where she would charm the entire room with her infectious laughter and competitive spirit.

Gloria's cause of death was cancer, a disease that she fought bravely and valiantly, all while making sure that her hair was styled to perfection. Her passing leaves a hole in the community of Paw Paw, as who else will fill us in on the latest neighborhood drama or have the best recipe for potato salad?
