Gloria Carter, age 78, entered eternal rest on Sunday, February 18, 2023. She was born in Napoleonville, La, where she spent most of her childhood, before relocating to New Orleans, LA. Gloria was an employee of Messina’s Kitchen for over 10yrs in the famous New Orleans Riverwalk. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Carter, Sr; parents, Annie Mae and Greg Walker; and 2 sisters, Bessie and Laurel Walker. She leaves to cherish her memories her 2 sons, Shawn Carter (Lynn) and Wilbert Carter, Jr (Ethel); 3 grandchildren, Tamara Carter, Ashley Harvard (Brandon), and Wilisha Williams; 3 siblings, Greg Walker II, Geraldine Lewis, and Arthur Walker, Sr; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are all invited to attend her Celebration of Life Service on Friday, March 3, 2023, 11:00AM, at Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, 2515 Franklin Ave, NOLA with Pastor Fred Luter, Sr. officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00AM until the hour service. Interment Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, Napoleonville, LA.
