We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Gladys Nelson on June 20, 2024, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. She was born on April 16, 1948, to parents George Nelson and Mary Nelson (Williams).

Gladys was cherished by her spouse, Gary Nelson, whom she married in 1965. Together, they raised two beloved children, Carissa Buechele and Gail Nelson. She was a loving grandmother to three grandchildren, Mikeala Steinbronn, Brendon Estling, and Jacob Estling

Gladys dedicated many years of her life to the Minneapolis Public School District, where she worked tirelessly until her retirement in 2014. She will be remembered for her hard work and dedication to education.

Outside of her professional life, Gladys had a passion for knitting and bird watching. She found joy and solace in these hobbies, which brought her closer to nature and creativity.

Gladys will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her kindness, generosity, and love will be forever cherished in our hearts.
