It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gia Blanchard of Gonzales, Louisiana. Gia was born on July 22, 2004, and sadly left us on July 18, 2024.

Although her time with us was too short, Gia brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. She was known for her love of drawing and singing, and her talent shone brightly in everything she created.

Gia leaves behind her father, John Blanchard (Jessica)Sr, older brother John Blanchard Jr. Sisters Evangela Blanchard, Juanena Blanchard and Nellie Blanchard. Bonus sisters Alexa Sergent, Rhaelyn Sergent and bonus brother Caiden Sergent. She also leaves behind grandparents Elizabeth (Doug) Langlois, Tony Blanchard, Phyllis Labatut and Ricky Ballard who will all forever cherish the memories they shared. She touched the lives of so many with her kind spirit and infectious smile.

As we mourn the loss of Gia, let us remember her for the light she brought into the world and the creativity she shared with those around her. Until we see you again, Rest in peace, sweet Gia. You will be forever missed.
