Gertrude Ann RaymondAGE: 84 • VinelandGertrude "Gertie" Ann Raymond, age 84 of Vineland, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Cooper University Hospital, Camden, after a brief illness.Gertie was born on August 16, 1932 in Dixonville, Pennsylvania to the late Edward and Anna (Sword) Utberg. She was a Vineland resident since 1954 and a longtime member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. Prior to her retirement in 1997, Gertie worked at several jobs, including as a garment worker with Jordan Clothing and also in the environmental services with Newcomb Hospital in Vineland. Gertie enjoyed dining out and treasured the time she shared with family and friends.She was predeceased by her husband Mike D. Raymond on March 15, 1989. By her sisters; Lena Hallanbaugh, Ellie Barr, Evelyn Felichko and Hilda Swab, and also by her brothers; Frank Utberg, Henry Utberg and George Utberg.Gertie is survived by her cherished and devoted son, Michael Raymond of Vineland. She is also survived by her sister Helen Goodlin and her brother Carl Utberg, both of PA.The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 12th at 11:00 am at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave. Vineland. Interment will follow in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland. Family and friends may gather from 10:00-11:00 am at the funeral home.
