Gersie M. FletcherMagnolia, AR - Gersie Marie Fletcher age 90 of Magnolia, AR, formerly of Lafayette, LA passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Magnolia Regional Medical Center. Gersie was born on September 14, 1927 in Youngsville, LA to the late Ouida Peltier Menard and Gustave Jabo Menard.Gersie was a member of Central Baptist Church of Magnolia, where she attended the Mary Sunday school class. She formerly enjoyed taking trips with her friends. In recent years, she most often enjoyed sitting on the porch and rocking the puppy dog and loved watching the birds and squirrels. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John O. Fletcher and by one brother, J.C. Menard.Survivors include; one son, Daniel Fletcher of Shawnee, OK; one daughter, Jackie Worley and husband Frank, of Magnolia, AR; four grandchildren, Virginia Gianelloni of Magnolia, Richard Worley and wife Dayna of Lake Arthur, LA, John Fletcher and partner Alan of Baton Rouge, LA and Elizabeth Ralls and husband Darby of Oklahoma City, OK; four great grandchildren, Adam Gianelloni, Alex Gianelloni, Hannah Worley and Richard Worley Jr.; two brothers, Chester Menard of Sulphur, LA and Gus Menard Jr. of Lafayette, LA; one sister, Betty Hollier of Lafayette along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
