Geraldine M. FordHoltAge 82, passed away on August 16, 2017 after suffering with the cruel disease of Alzheimer's for many years.  She was born on January 26, 1935 in Oklahoma City, the daughter of the late Virgil and Ruth Helm.  Geraldine met the love of her life, the late John S. Ford, while he was serving in the U.S. Navy in Norman, Oklahoma.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, and 3 sisters.  Geraldine is survived by her 4 daughters, Susan (Richard) Hale, Sharon (Nick) Boonyasith, Sheila (Eric) Lehtonen, Stacey Austin, and her sister, Peggy Avant; 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.  She loved children and was a licensed daycare provider for more than 30 years.  Geraldine loved baking, gardening and knitting.  She will be missed by all who knew her.  The family would like to thank Joseph and Barbara Frazier and the kind staff at Fairview Adult Foster Care.  Visitation 6-8 P.M. Friday at Field & Leik Funeral Home, 122 W. Washington, Dimondale.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 A.M. Saturday at St. Michael Catholic Church, 325 Edwards St., Grand Ledge, with visitation one hour prior to services.  Fr. James Eisele will officiate.  Burial will take place at Markham Cemetery, Holt.
