Harlingen, TX - Geraldean (Jeri) Nelson, 86, went to be with Our Good Lord after a brief struggle with cancer on November 22, 2016.Our precious Jeri was the daughter of Bert and Mildred Currey, born on January 2,1930 in Moore, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Graham B. Nelson, her parents and a brother, Melvin Lee Currey.Survivors include her 5 children, Susan J. Bevan, Margaret (Gilbert) Staton, Graham B. (Susan) Nelson, Stephen (Delores) Nelson, Gerald Glen Nelson, 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and numerous cousins.Jeri enjoyed her many years of work with her KGBT-TV family and retired after nearly 30 years. She also enjoyed family gatherings very much and the family will come together for a family celebration of her life. Her wonderful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children.The family would like to thank all who provided the care and kindness throughout her illness.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the .
