Gerald "Jerry" Thomas Lesko, 65, passed away on November 16, 2016 at Alaska Regional Hospital. Jerry was born on May 22, 1951 in Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania to Joseph R. and Elizabeth M. Lesko. Jerry was a member of the U.S. Army, serving his country as a helicopter crew chief in Germany from 1970-1973. He moved to Alaska in 1982, living in Dillingham for two years before finding his lifelong home in Palmer. He retired from Era Aviation in November 2004. In his spare time you could find him riding his motorcycle, restoring old cars, or reading a book. His family remembers him as a kind, caring, and generous man. He loved his family and dog "Max", flying and sunsets. He will be deeply missed. Jerry is survived by his wife Kathleen H. Lesko; son Gerald "Chip" Lesko and wife Tasha; daughter Julie Ann Helm and husband Kurtis; sisters Corinne Nebraska, Barbara Dombrosky and Rose Marie Pisula; brother Joseph R. Lesko Jr. and wife Linda; grandsons Jonah Eric Lesko and Seth Kelly Lesko; granddaughter Tiana Cheree Lesko; great-grandson Cyrus Flynn Lesko and many nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Elizabeth Lesko and by his sisters Rita and Shirley Lesko. There will be a private ceremony celebrating Jerry's life at a later date. Arrangements are with Janssen's Mat-Su Funeral Home.
