Georgina "Georgie" (Manning) Freel Latter, age 102, died on Nov. 18, 2014 at Harlin Assisted Living in West Branch. She was born on March 6, 1912 to the late George and Louise (Ferns) Manning in Reno Township, Iosco County. She was united in marriage to Millard "Ted" Freel on July 29, 1933 and he preceded her in death on Jan. 16, 1976. She married William Latter on Nov. 23, 1981 and he preceded her in death on Aug. 2, 1995. She married Lynne Weston in September 2004 and he survives her. She was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed the time she worked at Werley's Restaurant. Georgie is also survived by her nephews, Ricky Hughes of Swartz Creek and Randy Travis of Dundee; nieces, Connie Ott of Mio and Vickey Dennis of Gaines; and all of their families, several step children and their families. She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Elizabeth Manning; brother, Prestley Earl Manning, and his children, Dorothy, Betty and Prestley. Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014 starting at 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at noon. Burial will be in Memory Gardens in Tawas City where she will be next to her first husband, Ted, and her mother, Louise.
