Georgia Bell (Shell) Walters84, of Anderson, passed away at home on December 13, 2016. She was born on August 15, 1932 in Anderson, and graduated from Frankton High School in 1950.She had a long successful career in numerous varied positions with the Department of the Army at Fort Benjamin Harrison, culminating as the Deputy Director of Personal and Community Activities. She retired after 30 years of government service in 1985.She married her soul mate, Robert Paul Walters December 9, 1972. Robert passed away in 2007 after 34 years of marriage.Georgia is survived by her 4 children, Cynthia (Bob) Wagner, William (Nancy) Chapman, Mary (Pete) Cowman, and Patricia Wright, two brothers and one sister Ed (Margie) Shell, Ronnie (Donna) Shell, and Wilda Daniels. She leaves behind eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2016, 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St. Anderson. Services will be 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at the funeral home. Burial will take place in East Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson.Memorial contributions may be made to the Madison County Humane Society or St. Vincent Hospital Hospice Program. www.loosecares.com
