George W. Oliver Jr.Port HuronGeorge W. Oliver, Jr. 65, of Port Huron passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017 after a long illness. He was born on August 20, 1951 in Port Huron, Michigan to George and Viola Oliver.George graduated from Port Huron High School, after High School he went into the Army and served for two years. George married Patricia Smith on May 29, 1999 in Las Vegas, Nevada, they have been for married 19 years. George loved to hunt, fish and cook for his family. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers. He was an animal lover and attended the 4-H fair.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.George is survived by his wife, Patricia; sons, George W. Oliver III, Joshwa (Naomi) Oliver; daughter, Buffy Oliver; step-sons, Harry Kilburne and Johnnie Kilburne and step-daughter; Nina Kilburne; grandchildren, Daniel, Luisa, Laura and Linkyn; step-grandchildren, Shane Nickey, Tasha, Johnnie Wayne, Hope, Ariana, Stephanie, Tiffany, Damian and Rex Kilburne; brothers, Paul (Fern) Oliver, Sylvester Oliver and a sister, Carolyn (Stanley) Lash.  He is also survived by great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; George and Viola Oliver; brothers, Jackie Oliver, Bruce Oliver and William H. Oliver.An inurnment will take place on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Allied Veteran Cemetery under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.Memorials may be made to St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard or Blue Water Area Humane Society.
