George Steele, born on May 6th, 1977, lived a life full of love and laughter in Grayson, Kentucky. On April 10th, 2023, he passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind many cherished memories.
George grew up in Grayson and attended local schools. He was a star athlete in high school, playing basketball and football. He went on to attend the University of Kentucky, where he received his degree in Business Administration.
After college, George returned to Grayson to work at a local bank. He quickly climbed the ranks and became a Vice President at the young age of 34. He was well-respected in the community and known for his kind heart and willingness to help others.
George was an avid sports fan and loved all things Kentucky Wildcats. He could often be found watching games with his friends and family, cheering loudly and proudly for his alma mater.
In addition to sports, George had a passion for music. He was a talented guitar player and often played at local bars and restaurants on weekends. He loved to sing and was known to belt out a few tunes after a few drinks. His infectious personality and love for life made him a favorite among many.
George leaves behind his parents, John and Susan Steele, his sister Rachel, his wife Sarah, and their two children, Emma and Jack. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A funeral service will be held at the Grayson United Methodist Church on April 14th, 2023, at 11AM. The family will receive visitors prior to the service at 10AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association in honor of George's love for sports and healthy living.
