Hiles, George JulianGeorge Julian "Jupe" Hiles, 76, Woodruff, died on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Marshfield Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Pittsville, where the visitation will be from 9:00 am on Saturday until service time. Rev. Gary Markworth will officiate. Buchanan / Rembs Funeral Home, Pittsville is assisting the family. Julian was born on November 8, 1940 in Dexterville, to George and Berneice (Gehre) Hiles and was a 1959 graduate of Pittsville High School. He had been employed at Gabe's Construction in Sheboygan and then at Intercon Construction in Madison, WI until his retirement. He was a member of Local 139 Operating Engineers. Jupe enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing poker. Julian married Tamela S. Cunningham on November 8, 1990 in Portage, WI. He is survived by his wife, Tamela and his children from his first marriage, Cheri (Larry) Anderson of Inver Grove Heights, MN, Kipp Hiles of Rock Island, IL, and Heath (Tiffany) Hiles of Wisconsin Rapids, his stepchildren, Birgit (Larry) Volk of Sumner, IL and Justin (Jodi) Holdrieth of Olney, IL. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Alex and Kayla Anderson, Savannah and Logan Hiles, Conner and Emma McKinney, and Carter and Micah Holdrieth. He is further survived by his sister, Betty (Kenneth) Sherwood of Pittsville, a nephew, Garry and a niece, Linda. He was predeceased by his parents.
