George Weigel, 88, of Sunrise, Florida, passed on September 21, 2020. George was born on February 13, 1932.
He married Linda Weigel in 1997 and they lived together in Sunrise, Florida for 19 years. George had 3 children with his previous spouse, Mary Patricia Gallagher, EileenChiovatero(JackChiovatero), Patrick Weigel (Sharon Weigel), Brian Weigel (Marcy Weigel). George has 1 stepson, John Andel (Damaris Valdez Andel) He is also survived by 7 beautiful grandchildren, Sean, PJ, Garrett, Katarina, Brian, Joshua and Jeremy.
George graduated from Calumet High School in 1949 and received a degree from the IIT College of Architecture Material-Lab.
George worked at Trane Company until he retired in 1997 and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people. He also volunteered at the St. Linus Church, Oaklawn, Illinois, St. Laurence Fathers club, Burbank, Illinois, various activities at Oaklawn High School. George was the unofficial Jeopardy champ.
Staff Sergeant Weigel served his country proudly for 4 years in the United States Air Force. He was deployed 1 time. George was a proud patriot that loved and protected his country.
