Gene Lanham, 68 of Springfield, Ohio went home to be with the Lord while at home, surrounded by his loving family on December 31st, 2018. Gene was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of God in Springfield. He retired from Parker Tru Tech in Springfield. Gene enjoyed fishing, hunting, and Redskins and WVU football. Nothing brought him more joy than to spend time with his family whom he loved dearly. Gene had 2 fur babies; Buddy and Sissy whom he thought the world of and referred to as his “babies”.
Gene leaves behind his loving wife; Ruth (Peachie) Lanham whom he loved dearly, sons; Chad Lanham, Jason (Julie) Lanham, Rocky Lanham and Robert(Tracy) Yates, a daughter; Nikki Lanham, a brother; Sherl, and 2 sisters; Diana and Ann, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many friends who will miss him dearly.
Gene was proceeded in death by both parents, his grandparents, a brother, and 2 sisters.
A celebration of Gene’s life will be held on January 8th, 2019 at 1 pm at the First Pentecostal Church of God located at 644 Selma Rd in Springfield with Pastor Dave Miller officiating. Directly after the service, the family will hold a dinner in the basement of the church with all invited.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his wife at the celebration of life to assist with Gene’s final expenses.
