Gayle Lynn Turner, a compassionate soul with a heart full of kindness, was born on May 9, 1964, in Midwest City, Oklahoma, to Earl and Erma Tate (née Corbin). She peacefully departed this life on October 31, 2023, at Ascension St. John Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 59. She spent her final years in Henryetta, Oklahoma, where her light touched the lives of many.

Gayle had a deep-seated passion for helping others, dedicating her life’s work as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Certified Medication Aide (CMA). Her career reflected her selfless nature and her genuine desire to provide care and comfort to those in need. Beyond her professional role, she carried this spirit of service into her personal life, radiating warmth and love to all who knew her.

She was the proud mother of two children: Steven Thomas Daykin (42) of Oklahoma City, and Desiree Nichole Morehead (39) of Cherokee, Oklahoma. Her love for her children was boundless, and their lives are a testament to the values she instilled in them. Gayle’s love extended to her dear grandchild, Jazmine Mary Daykin (12) of Oklahoma City, who brought joy and pride to her grandmother’s heart.

A high school graduate/GED recipient, Gayle placed great value on resilience and growth. She cherished life’s simple pleasures, including her adored Chihuahuas, who were not just pets but cherished companions. They brought her moments of delight, reminding her of the beauty of unconditional love.

Though she has departed this world, Gayle’s legacy of compassion, dedication, and love continues to inspire all who were privileged to know her. She will be remembered as a loving mother, a proud grandmother, a devoted caregiver, and a gentle soul who always sought to make the world a little brighter.

Her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched will carry her memory in their hearts. May she find eternal peace and rest surrounded by the love she so freely gave in life.
