Gary John GilmanBonita Springs, FLGary John Gilman, 56, passed away on May 30, 2017, peacefully with his wife Diana by his side at their home in Bonita Springs, Florida. Gary was born on July 13, 1960, in Framingham, Massachusetts, to Barbara and Edwin Gilman.He leaves behind his beloved wife of 27 years, Diana Gilman (nee Wise). He is survived by his mother, Barbara Gilman (nee Corey), brother Ed (Danielle) Gilman, Jayne (Ed) O'Neil , Tammy (Mike) Stepien, and Jay (Debbie) Gilman. He was also the favorite uncle of Geoff, Jacqui, Britty, Edders, CJ, Liv, Julia, Angela, Steven, Michael, Ashley, Lauren, Joey, Kevin, Nicolas, and Daniel (deceased). Gary was a dog dad to Mookie (The Beets), Prince (deceased), and Bubba (deceased).Gary was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Gilman.Gary enjoyed his family and friends and had the love and respect of all around him. You could not ask for a better son, brother, uncle, friend, and husband. Gary touched so many people in his life and we are all blessed to have known him.Gary grew up in Ashland, Massachusetts, attended Ashland High School where he was co-captain of the 1977 Clockers Super Bowl Team. He continued his education at Framingham State University graduating in 1983. He was Tri-Captain of the Framingham State Rams football team, his love for the game continued after college when he played football with the semi-pro Marlborough Shamrocks. Gary attended Living Waters Church in Estero, Florida, where he served as a Rock Star volunteer. He was loved and respected by all.Gary was a lifetime member of the NRA, an avid New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan. He enjoyed bass fishing, smoking cigars, watching Fox News, studying the Bible, and fancy dinners at home with his wife. Private memorial services for family and close friends will be held in Hopkinton, Massachusetts; Estero, Florida; and Cleveland, Ohio.
