Frieda Tamulevicz, age 78, a longtime resident of Oscoda passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, at Tawas St. Joseph Hospital. She was born on Jan. 22, 1932, to Rudolf and Frieda Magdalena Bruckmoser (nee Studlein) in Munich, Germany. Frieda was a tenured member of the Oscoda Area School Board. She was also a Nationally Accredited Master Ceramist, a proud member of the NRA, a member of the Michigan Women's Bowling Association and was the second female to join the Lions in Oscoda. Frieda was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children, Tam Tamulevicz of Tawas City and Bill Tamulevicz of Pittsboro, N.C.; her sister, Evi of Munich, Germany; her grandson, James Joseph Tamulevicz of Chicago; her great-grandchild, Angie Tamulevicz; her extended family, Debbie Musser of Austin, Texas, Krista McDermid of Kyle, Texas, and several nieces and nephews. Frieda was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph William Tamulevicz, whom she was married to for more than 40 years; and her middle son, David Tamulevicz.
