Frederick L. StumpfFrederick (Fred) Lee Stumpf, 77, of Seattle, Washington, passed away on September 11, 2013.Fred was born on August 28, 1936 in Cle Elum, WA to Everett and Isabella (Simpson) Stumpf. Fred was their only child. Fred grew up in Cle Elum, WA, and resided there until he joined the United States Marine Corp following his High School graduation (class of '56). Following his tour of duty, which took Fred to Australia, Japan and other areas in Pacific Rim/Asia, he returned to Washington to attend college at Central Washington State. Following college, Fred moved to Eugene, OR with his then wife, Richelle (Oleson) and their son, Brandon Stumpf. Once in Oregon, Fred's daughter, Heidi (Stumpf) Delauter was born. Fred attended University of Oregon and received his master's degree in architecture. Following his schooling in Eugene, OR, Fred and his family moved to Boise, ID.Fred's work took him to many cities including Boise, ID, Ketchikan, AK, Mountain View and Los Gatos (Bay area), CA, and finally moving to Seattle, WA where he resided until his death.Fred enjoyed traveling and visited many countries such as Turkey, Peru, India, Egypt and other countries throughout Eastern Europe, as well as visits to the east coast. He was an avid photographer, artist and historian. Fred also enjoyed spending time with his children and grand children. Fred is survived by his son, Brandon, (Samantha) and their children, Bailey and Sydney who reside in Seattle, Washington, and his daughter, Heidi Delauter (Michael) and their boys, Ryan and Nathan. He was very loved and will be missed!A memorial service for Fred will be held Saturday, April 19th (2014) at the Putnam Senior Center, in Cle Elum, WA at 2 p.m.
