Freda Eileen Malen ThomasMrs. Freda Eileen Malen Thomas, 84 passed away on January 20, 2017 at Cornerstone Hospital after a brief illness. Visitation will be held from 9:00 until 11:00 am on Saturday, January 28 2017 at Osborn Funeral Home Chapel with the service to follow at 11:00. Officiating will be Pastor Perry A Culver of Christ Lutheran, with interment to follow at Forest Park West.Mrs. Freda was a native of Decatur, IL, and a resident of Shreveport, LA for 56 years. She was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and attended regular and served faithfully. She was an active member of the Lutheran Women's Mission League and served in several office capacities over the years.Freda was born on July 23, 1932 in Memphis MO. And grew up in Decatur, IL, where she met and married Jimme D. Thomas in 1952. That marriage produced two Children, Richard and Cherri.Mrs. Freda was preceded in death by her parents: Fred Malen and Mildred Foster Malen of Decatur, IL; Jimmie D. Thomas of Shreveport, LA; maternal grandparents Robert Elmer Foster and Ora Mell Huggans, Paternal grandparents Adam Malenofski and Marie Nichol.She is survived by her daughter, Cherri Lynn Thomas Frazier of Shreveport, LA; son, Gerald Richard Thomas and wife, Elizabeth Jane (Sue) Thomas of Minden, NV; four grandchildren, Rachel Frazier Stewart and husband, Austin Stewart of Frisco, TX; Joe Stephen Frazier, Jr., and wife Marcia (Marcie) Forrest Frazier of Redding CA.; Elizabeth Margaret McNeil of Minden, NV; Sarah Megan Thomas Stelatto and husband, Matt Stelatto of Minden, NV. Great-grandchildren Nolan Austin Stewart, Nash Frazier Stewart, Nixon Dee Stewart of Frisco TX, Laurel Elizabeth Thomas and Abbygail Corbett McNeil of Minden, NV.Pallbearers will be Ken Schroeder, Randy Smith, Tim Brobst, Tim Carter, and Lester Drach.
