Freda L. CassellManchesterFreda L. (Hoffmaster) Cassell, 74, passed away Friday, April 7, 2017 at Select Specialty in York Hospital, with family by her side. She was the wife of Carl E. Cassell.Funeral Services will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Ambassadors Bible Chapel, 3000 York Haven Rd., Manchester, with Pastor David W. Slautterback, officiating. Mrs. Cassell was born on January 21, 1943 in York and was the daughter of the late Freeman L. Hoffmaster and the late Pauletta M. (Swartz) Hoffmaster.Freda worked most recently for F&S Transportation, Inc. She formerly worked for Ksenich Building Products, Donsco and Foam Products. She was a member of Ambassadors Bible Chapel.Freda is survived by two daughters, Kellie E. (Cassell) Rohrbaugh and her husband, Bart of Manchester, her daughter, Carla E. (Cassell) Shorts and her husband, John of Dover; five grandchildren, Carl Davis, Jr., Nicole Davis, Trista Rohrbaugh, Carl Cassell and Brooke Shorts; and eight great-grandchildren. She dearly loved her family.She was preceded in death by her brother, Freeman L. Hoffmaster, Jr.; her daughter, Debra L. Cassell; and a step-grandson, Bart Rohrbaugh, Jr. Freda had a true soft spot for animals, therefore, in lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be sent to the SPCA of York County.
