SIDNEY — Franklin L. Hughes, 64, of Sidney, passed away at 2:58 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016, at Wilson Health.
He was born on Oct. 16, 1952, in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Russell and Wanita (Elliott) Hughes.
On April 18, 2003, he married the former Judy Miller whom survive in Sidney.
Also surviving are 8 children, Melinda (Alex) Brown, Frankie (Monica) Hughes, Mike (Randi) Hess, Terry Allen (Jimmie Rose) Hughes, Harold Hess, Terry Lee (Cindy) Penny, Ashley (Mark) Thompson and Franklin (Tamara) Hughes; seven grandsons; 16 granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Chuck (Terri) Hughes; and one sister, Mary Margret Hughes.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Russell Hughes.
Mr. Hughes worked at Ross Aluminum for 30 years and was a member of the American Legion. Frank loved football, having played in his younger days, and following the Oakland Raiders. He also enjoyed NASCAR and the WWE. He loved spending time with his wife going fishing. Frank dearly loved his grandchildren and enjoyed tormenting them.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 19, 2016, at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home & Crematory, 302 S. Main Ave., with the Rev. Philip K. Chilcote officiating.
Friends may call Monday from 2 p.m. until hour of service.
