ODESSA, TEXAS - Frank Anthony Blasi, 95, of Odessa, passed away on January 28, 2017. Frank was born on March 22, 1921, in Diamondville, Wyoming. Frank graduated from the University of Washing in Seattle Washington, with an engineering degree. He graduated from the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming, with a degree in education, and had worked a year on his doctorate in IQ Testing. Frank worked as a teacher, superintendent, and petroleum engineer during his lifetime. Frank and his wife Edit moved to Odessa in 1956 and he worked for Phillips Petroleum. Frank was a mechanical engineer and worked in the office and in field operations. One of his most interesting projects was working on an oil well in the Puckett Oil Field that brought in one of the deepest wells of all time at 25,000ft. Frank was 100% committed to all aspects of education for children and adults. Frank is survived by his daughter Barbara Taylor of Odessa, Texas; granddaughter Edythe (Edye) Edens, and Clark Edens of Indianapolis, Indiana. Frank is preceded in death by his wife Edith Opal Blasi, and his parents. Visitation will be held Sunday January 29, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Chapel in Odessa, Texas. Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday January 31, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Independence Chapel and Mausoleum in Ft. Worth, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Cure Alzheimer's Fun or the . Services are entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors Odessa, Texas.
