Francis A. Kosewski, a 41-year survivor of prostate cancer, died quietly at his home in Eastham on November 4, 2016. He was 91. Frank was born on April 5, 1925, at his parents home in Shelton, Connecticut. An only child, he came from a large, extended Polish family each of his parents, Francis Thomas Kosewski and Mary Magda Kosewski, having come from families of ten children. Frank attended St. Michaels School, a bilingual, Polish| English speaking grammar school, in Derby, Connecticut; graduated from Shelton High School in 1942; and entered the University of Connecticut the following fall. By the spring of 1943, Frank was a CPO/radio technician in the US Navy, serving in the Pacific theatre for the duration of the war. By 1951, he had returned to and graduated from UConn, met and married Carolyn Clark (1924|2011), begun his long affiliation with Sheltons Sponge Products Company (later a division of B.F. Goodrich), and returned briefly to military service at the Brooklyn Navy Yard during the
Korean conflict. He and Carolyn lived in Milford Connecticut until 1960, in Shelton until 1974, and in Ohio until 1984, when they retired to Eastham. Frank is survived by his daughter, Andrea Dunn of Eastham and her children, Evan Dunn of Pomfret, Connecticut, and Rosamond Dunn of San Francisco; and by his son and son-in-law, Peter Kosewski and John Dennis Anderson, of South Wellfleet.
