Cook, FrancineFrancine Cook, a longtime resident of Westport CT, passed away peacefully in her home in Daniel Island South Carolina on October 11, 2016 after her courageous battle with cancer. Francine was born on February 9th, 1949 in New York, NY daughter to Minerva Fayden and Frank Sawdon. A beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. Francine, in addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 42 years William M. Cook and her sister Lynn and brother Stuart. Survivors include her two sons Christopher Cook of Daniel Island, SC and Burke Cook and his wife Marybeth of Daniel Island, SC and two grandchildren Boden and McClain Cook; and niece Whitney Raith and her children Sawyer and McClain Raith of Washington Depot, CT. Francine devoted her time raising her two sons and enjoyed doing this in Westport for 35 years. She enjoyed her gardens, art, decorating and needlepoint. Francine lived life to the fullest, and on her terms, never missing an opportunity that life brought her. Those that knew her, knew her strong spirit and laughter were infectious and one-of-kind. She was a sincere joy to be around and always found the good in those she met. She will be greatly missed and left us too soon. Private services will be held.
