Frances L. Burkholder 1929—2016Frances Loretta Burkholder, age 87, passed away on Saturday August 27, 2016 at the FHN Memorial Hospital. She was born on August 1, 1929 to John (Jack) and Florence (Darr) Halfman. Frances married Charles Burkholder on November 15, 1949 in Savanna, IL. She was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church in Shannon, IL. Frances is survived by daughter Vicki Gustafson of Warren, IL, son Roger (Sherry) Burkholder of Lanark, and daughter Patricia Stover of Fort Worth, TX., 7 grandchildren: Anthony (Rachel) Burkholder of Lanark, Andrena (Steve) Sayles of Roscoe, Rebecca (Tim) Reese of Lanark, Jameson (Ashley) Burkholder of Lanark, Weston (Laura) Burkholder of Lanark, Colton (Danielle) Burkholder of Belvidere, and Phillip Stover of Fort Worth, TX, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 brother, Gene Halfman of Argo Fay, IL, and many nieces and nephews. Frances was preceded in death by her husband Charles, sons Stephen Burkholder and John Burkholder, Son-in-law Clark Gustafson, her parents John and Florence Halfman, 1 sister Mary (Lowell) Hall, and 3 brothers, Lawrence Halfman, John Halfman and Bill Halfman.Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 3rd at St. Wendelin Catholic Church in Shannon, with viewing from 10:30 a.m. until funeral time. Father Michael Bolger will of?ciate. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, September 2nd at Russell-Frank Funeral Home in Lanark.
