The late Wille and Willie Mae Scott welcomed Franchee (Frenchell Scott) into the world on July 23, 1943, in Jacksonville, Texas. On Friday, January 24, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas, he passed from this world into eternal rest.
At an early age, he united with Greater New Zion Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Texas.
In 1962, he received his diploma from Fred Douglass High School. Later, he attended Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins, Texas, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education. He began his teaching career in Nacogdoches, Texas, at E.J. Campbell High School and Booker Washington Middle School. He later relocated to Astoria, Oregon, where he worked as a teacher at Tounge-Point Job Corp. In 1971, he earned a Master of Science degree from the University of Oregan in Eugene.
He taught math at Wedgewood Middle School, Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, Carter-Riverside High School, and O.D. Wyatt High School until retiring from Fort Worth ISD in 2000.
He was joined in holy marriage with Miss Winnie Ruth Whitaker, his high school sweetheart, in 1964. To this union, Cassandra Rochelle Scott was born. In 1970 Kayla LaVern Rembert to Jessie L.Rembert
He was a loving husband, daddy and pawpaw.
Preceding him in death his parents, and two brothers Homer and Jerry Scott.
Mr. Scott leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 59 years, Winnie R. Scott, his daughters, Cassandra R. Scott-Reynolds and Kayla L. Roney. Four grandsons Keondrae Scott Rembert, Jeffrey Marcus Rembert, David Frenchell Scott-Reynolds and Mikell Isaac Roney, one brother Willie Scott Jr (Helen) of Jacksonville, Texas, three sisters, Bertha Mae Riles of Houston, Texas, Gloria Harvest and Ruby Franklin of Jacksonville, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
