Fonce was born in Gerber California to a military father and a seamstress mother in 1950. Upon his high school graduation, he joined the United States Air Force and traveled the world as his father did. He wed upon his end of service (Marla) and had one daughter. (Christina). He leaves behind his wife, daughter, grandson, granddaughter and two great grandchildren.
