Finny Burns, 82, of Sherman, Texas, passed on July 25, 2023..Finny was born in Oil City, P.A., on July 31st, 1940.

Finny is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Francis Finnegan and Mary Frances Blum, as well as her sister Sandra Burns.

She leaved behind her nephew, Larry Burns, wife Connie, along with Larry Burns II, Matthew D. Burns and their mother, Deborah A. Ward, her nephew, David Burns, and wife Valerie, great-nephew Larry, and child, Carter, her great-nephew Matthew Burns and his children, Lukus and Serinity, as well as all those she touched with her kindness and strong spirit.

Finny was extremely accomplished. She was a pioneer in her time, gathering a B.A. in psychology in 1976, a degree in Business, and was an ordained Methodist preacher. Her proudest accomplishment was her position as Chief Chemist, well before women held such positions. 

Celebration of Finny's life will be held at Fisher Funeral Home on her birthday, Monday, July 31st, 2023, from 6:00 PM until 8:00PM.
