It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Faye Gore, who left us on May 15, 2024, in Tampa, Florida, at the age of 72.
Born on November 14, 1951, in Cleveland, Ohio to Joseph and Alice Gore, Faye was a loving mother to De’Shawn Gore and Ra’Shawn Gore, and a doting grandmother to six grandchildren, Diamond, Elijah, De’Shanti, De’Shawn Jr, Raven and Cali.
Faye attended Shaw High School, where she graduated in 1968 before starting her long and successful career at Mr. D’s Auto Body Shop. Faye worked at Mr. D’s as a receptionist for 36 years, up until she decided to begin a new life in Tampa, Florida in 2014. She always wanted to live “where it was always sunny”.
Outside of work, Faye had many passions and hobbies. She was known for her hearty meals, her talent for hosting unforgettable gatherings, her unwavering support for the Cleveland Browns, her green thumb in the garden, and most importantly, for being the best grandmother her grandchildren could have asked for.
Faye’s energy, charm, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace knowing she was adored by many.
Faye will be remembered in a spreading of ashes/balloon release ceremony on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Edgewater Park in Cleveland, OH. For additional details, please contact me at 216-882-2384.
