Evelyn "Hope" (Hoagland) LinaresApril 11, 1962 - May 27, 2016 Evelyn "Hope" (Hoagland) Linares died unexpectedly in a car crash outside of Yuma, Arizona on May 27th, 2016 at the age of 54. Hope is survived by her mother Sharon Hope Hoagland, Yuma, AZ; husband John Kendal Tresize, Santa Rosa, CA; children, Krista Rai Hoagland, Santa Rosa, CA, Simon Federico Linares, Colorado Springs, CO and Samuel Joshua Linares, Twenty-Nine Palms, CA; step sons Justin Tresize, Kyle Tresize, David Tresize, Paul Tresize of Santa Rosa CA, sisters: Tomi St. Mars, Gilbert, AZ and Lydia Hoagland of Yuma; brothers Clayton Hoagland, Mesa AZ and Adam Hoagland of Petaluma, CA, seven grandchildren and Great Aunt Alma Wright of Tulsa, OK. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Wayne and Fern Jones of Wellton, AZ, her father Richard Hoagland and granddaughter Hailey Tresize. Hope was born on April 11, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois to Richard and Sharon Hoagland. She graduated from Kofa High School in 1980. Hope was accomplished at giving great hugs and gave them out spontaneously. Hope taught her daughter to love with her heart first. She loved her grandchildren was passionate about spending time with them. She was extremely proud of her son's military service: Samuel -Marine Corps and Simon -Army. A Celebration of Life was held Tuesday, May 31 at the American Legion in Yuma with a second Celebration of Life being planned for her Santa Rosa friends and family. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to organizations that support military families or children's cancer.
